Life… it consumes

So, I have not posted in awhile (obviously). Things have been pretty hectic for me. Things were going really great with my photography, then my camera broke (no, I did not break it. It broke, stopped working. I didn’t drop it or anything :p) in the middle of a wedding! Thank goodness there was another photographer… I still felt horrible!
But, it all worked out… finally I got a new camera! Yay! A Nikon D3100 :D I am getting into the swing of things again with my photography. So, hopefully… I should be posting regularly again soon… hopefully :D

My first real maternity shoot. (I did a very few shots for my sister a couple months ago… but family doesn’t count, right? lol)

Shooting for maternity is kinda stressful. You want the mama to be comfortable and look good. (I know it’s going to be hard for me to feel comfortable when I’m sportin’ the belly bump!) and you want to find poses that flatters the mama, too. Lucky for me, my first maternity client was a friend who is very comfortable with her body. She is not showing too much yet, but we wanted to chronicle the belly transformation, so we started early.

The shots came out really cute. We went to a place we were both comfortable with. (We had actually used the train before in a previous photo shoot and we both liked it so much we decided to go back! lol) I think for my first real go at it they came out pretty good. I have some more ideas that we are going to try in a few weeks (or months) and I can’t wait to see how they all turn out!
